Welcome to our songwriter's contest page! This is where we cordially invite you to get involved and seek exposure for your music through our upcoming feature, Frozen In Time.
Contest Entries
We offer this opportunity by means of a contest. We're making the processing fee as low as possible to enable you to enter as many songs as you wish. The processing fee is $5.00 per song. Please only include songs or compositions you wish to submit as a music file or audio CD-we can only consider songs for which you've submitted a fee. If you're paying online but wish to submit a CD or DVD with your music rather than an electronic file, please print an extra copy of your receipt and mail it with your CD or DVD so we know which entrant belongs to which transaction.
Contest Legalities
This contest is open to US citizens and international artists who are 18 or older. You can only submit work for which you own the full copyright. You may submit work of any musical style you wish, but the songs that will receive highest consideration are those that appeal widely to high school age and above. You'll also want to consider some of the themes you might expect to find in the movie and submit work you feel is related or might be useful. While this is a psychological thriller, it is also a family film in the sense that there will be no objectionable content or agendas. All decisions are final. By entering you declare that you own full copyrights to the work you're submitting, that you give us permission to use your work in the film should your work be selected by EASTGATE FILMS, LLC, you are at least 18 years of age, and that you are legally authorized to enter into this agreement.
What We Are Looking For
Original content and sound
Songs that depict human drama everyone can relate to
Creativity in lyrical style and presentation
Music that gets us excited when we hear it because it just sounds good
Music that explores a variety of moods likely to be portrayed in our film, especially in a fresh way
What We Are Not Looking For
Songs with sexual content or political agendas
Anything else that might burden, bore, or irritate our listeners.
Extra Tips For Winning
Are you up to the challenge? Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to send us songs that fit the themes, content and tones of our movie. This is a psychological thriller about a high school girl who, through the events of her own life, discovers her shrouded past. Themes in this film include betrayal, forgiveness, concealed love, and a psychological journey through personal history, plagued by a persistent voice from long ago seeking expression in a young lady who knows nothing about the way in which events from the beginning of time continue to shape her life.
We may consider entrants for our other films as well.
